Allen comes to Metrix after serving as the Executive Director of the Metadigm Group, a OneHope affiliated research agency serving the needs of the international ministry community. With Metadigm Group, he oversaw the completion of qualitative and quantitative projects in over 50 countries. These projects have assisted organizations involved in service to children and youth, community development, translation projects and education. Allen has previously served in various capacities including congregational leadership, educational, consultancy and non-profit management and is is involved with a variety of local and international associations and advises on projects serving the needs of homeless people in south Florida. Allen earned his doctorate from Barry University.
Pete Gackenbach, Senior Analyst
Pete is our lead statistics analyst and technological specialist combining his aerospace engineering background with his global community development experience ranging from West Philadelphia to East China. He combines his love of photography, math, culture and design to create data entry/reporting tools that cleanly and clearly display essential research findings to help partners make better decisions. He has worked in over 30 countries and lived in Africa and Asia for several years.
Astrid Cortes, Latin America Director
Astrid is a native of Colombia. She participated in inter-disciplinary urban and rural economic research with the Andes University, Bogota. She is the founding partner of M & A Business Services, a provider of consulting services for community development, capacity building, management and social responsibility. She has contracted for research in 15 countries, primarily in Latin America. Astrid has a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. in International Business.
Andrea Gregg, Administrative Director
Andrea was born in Canada and has lived in Haiti, Dominican Republic and the U.S. While earning her degree she was the Director of Education at the Hollywood Art and Culture Center. Her degree in Elementary Education has equipped her to be the mother of three growing school children and the Coordinator of the Kids Sailing into Their Future (K-Sail) program. She also helps with local research and manages the MRG accounts and operations.
Andrea Monson, Senior Research Manager
Andrea comes to Metrix after serving as research manager for the Metadigm Group, a OneHope affiliated research agency. Andrea’s experience in clinical and cognitive research, and Human Factors and Ergonomics offers technical and analytical expertise in the evaluation and analysis of the human experience. Andrea studied and grew up in both Massachusetts and Costa Rica where she acquired a bilingual and multicultural background equipping her to engage in research design and evaluation of the cultural implications of a program. Andrea has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Philosophy and is finishing her Master’s degree in Applied Social Psychology and Experimental Design at Mount Holyoke College.
Dr. Linda Reesor, Board President
Linda Reesor has a ‘grass roots” background acquired during her time providing educational and social services to the needy in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in her early years of marriage. Her philosophy for education is “evidence-based research with reality-based application.” She has remained in the hospital setting in order to encourage staff to excellence in skills, application of critical thinking to everyday practice, and use of research and academic methods to further safe, competent care to all patients and their families. Her qualifications and certifications include ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner), Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Educator, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor, and BLS (CPR) instructor. She has acquired an undergraduate degree in Nursing, a Masters degree, and a PhD.
Paul Chandler, Board Member
Paul Chandler brings a lifetime of international experience which began as a youth growing up in East Africa and includes educational research in North Africa and Crisis Management/Humanitarian efforts in Eastern Europe, along with other social volunteer efforts in Europe and the United States. Additionally, Paul has worked for several leading data information companies providing key analysis and consultation for efforts such as anti-fraud tools, investigative analysis, background research, relational data mapping, and age verification tools. Paul has an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Religious Studies and an MBA at Florida International University in Miami, FL.
